Fresh-Aire UV Commercial Series
Lower Maintenance Costs & Improve Indoor Air Quality
The Fresh-Aire UV Commercial Series offers building owners and managers a comprehensive set of technological solutions for improving indoor air quality (IAQ). Fresh-Aire UV lights can siginificantly reduce the levels of biological contaminants in the interiors of air-handling equipment. This results in ehanced air-system efficiency and reduced maintenance costs. Reductions in levels of airborne contaminants also means a healthier, safer indoor environment for building occupants.

Microbial Disinfection & Energy Savings
UV light systems are currently the best available technology to reduce microbial growth on air conditioning coils. “The high levels of germicidal UV from a UVGI system placed downstream and facing the chiller coils inhibits the growth of spores and molds on the coils. This controls the proliferation of micro-organisms in HVAC systems, which reduces maintenance requirements and eliminates odors. Improved coil heat transfer, lower pressure drop across the coil, and reduced air handler speed, all contribute to significant energy savings.”
A Cost-Effective Technology
When combined energy and maintenance savings are taken into account, a Fresh-Aire UV system can pay for itself in as little as three to six months.
As the coil surface is reduced or blocked by other materials in the HVAC system, and as mold grows on these components, the free area of coil surface is further reduced, decreasing the efficiency of the air handler. UV-C lights rejuvenate coils and allow greater heat transfer, resulting in an impressive 30% increase in cooling capacity.
Simplified Maintenance
Properly installed UV-C lights can significantly reduce biological contamination on irradiated surfaces within the ventilation systems. They can eliminate the need for coil, drain pan and plenum cleaning programs which means that maintenance people are no longer exposed to the biocidal agents and other cleaning chemicals required for these tasks.
