Ron Saunders, Vice President and co-founder of Fresh-Aire UV serves as a Board Member and Individual Giving Chair for the Cystic Fibrosis Florida Chapter in Palm Beach County.  Two big Cystic Fibrosis events Ron spearheads each year in honor of his cousin who has CF include the Palm Beach Songwriters in the Round, an intimate evening featuring some of Nashville’s best singer-songwriters, and Silent Disco – coming up November 15 – featuring a night of music, dancing and fun wearing headphones.

Fresh-Aire UV served as the presenting sponsor for the first annual Golfing for Gold event to benefit the Josh Powell Foundation held October 3rd, 2019 at Jupiter Country Club in Palm Beach County Florida.  Through its sponsorship, Fresh-Aire UV was able to contribute to, and help raise, funds in support this foundation, in honor of first Lieutenant William Joshua Powell who lost his life to synovial sarcoma cancer. With this contribution, Josh’s widow Fabi Powell is able to help motivate and encourage others battling sarcoma cancer to be open about their battle, fight their fight, and keep going despite the odds stacked against them.

Fresh-Aire UV, Inc. partnered with SUN KOOL Air Conditioning to present the Veterans Help Veterans USA foundation with a check in the amount of $2,500 in support of their efforts to assist armed service veterans and their families. Veterans Helping Veterans USA, Inc. is dedicated to assisting veterans and their families who are in need by providing social services and information to help improve their lives and maintain their independence.

Fresh-Aire UV made a $5K donation to Believe With Me on behalf of its Patriot and Warrior customers.  Believe with Me helps America’s families of fallen soldiers when they need it most. From housing to cars, school uniforms, making mortgage payments and quite literally saving the family farm, Believe with Me fills in the gaps that many Gold Star families find when dealing with catastrophic loss.

Through its ongoing support of U.S. military charities, Fresh-Aire UV donated its APCO-X system to K9s for Warriors, which is the latest technology in indoor air treatment. The advanced system dramatically improves air quality at the K9s For Warriors 17,000 square foot main campus in Ponte Vedra, Fla.  K9s For Warriors is the nation’s largest provider of service dogs to military veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury and/or Military Sexual Trauma as a result of military service post-9/11.

Triplegic injured warrior Adam Keys completed his bucketlist by trekking the 19,341-foot-high peak of Tanzania’s Mt. Kilimanjaro this year thanks in part to donations from FreshAire UV and its Patriot IAQ program to veterans charity Warrior Events, Annapolis, Md.

Patriot IAQ is an indoor air quality (IAQ) equipment dealer program created by Fresh-Aire UV, Jupiter, Fla., where a portion of each sale’s proceeds are donated to veterans charities.

Fresh-Aire UV presented a check Dec. 15 to Warrior Events (www.warriorevents.net), which helps partially fund veterans events, such as Keys’ five-day mountain-climb and the incurred costs for Tanzanian trail guides, an EMT, supplies and travel. The 26-year-old Keys was the sole survivor when a truck transporting U.S. Army paratroopers was blown up by an Afghanistan roadside bomb in 2010. More than 100 surgeries later, Keys offered his inspirational soaring achievement as a tribute to his fallen comrades that was featured on CBS This Morning’s “Pushing the Limits” Series and Fox and Friends television shows.

The climbing effort propagated other veteran funding successes, such as Keys’ “adamkeys1stepforward” Facebook fundraising page that now gives 33-percent of its donations to Warrior Events.

Patriot IAQ (https://patriotiaq.com) dealers promote FreshAire UV’s Blue Tube UV, APCO and other HVAC indoor air quality products under the Patriot IAQ brand. The branded program, which includes dealers such as service contractor B&B Air Conditioning & Heating Service Co. Inc., Rockville, Md., exists solely for the purposes of donating a percent of profits to military veteran charities. “We became a dealer last year, because we wanted to help veterans, and the air purification products were better technology than what we previously sold,” said Bill Williams, executive vice president, B&B Air Conditioning & Heating Service, which markets IAQ heavily online and trains service techs to promote the Patriot IAQ’s profit sharing theme to homeowners.

“Our passion is to make sure everyone at our events feels special and that it feels like a ‘bucket list’ event,“ said John O’Leary, chairman, Warrior Events, which funded 60-percent of Keys’ climb and co-hosted 55 other events in 2018 that brought injured veterans together with each other, friends and family.

“Patriot IAQ only donates to veteran charities that have little or no administrative costs, so that all the money gets to the people who need it,” said Ron Saunders, vice president, Fresh-Aire UV, which also sponsors other organizations such as the veteran hub, Ma Deuce Deuce (Ma22), Toms River, N.J., www.ma22.org. Ma22 is a non-profit, veteran advocacy group that raises awareness of the “22 daily veteran suicides” epidemic.

Fresh-Aire UV, which created the private label Patriot IAQ dealer program of which B&B is a member, issued a check to Warrior Events on Dec. 15 from Patriot IAQ profits. The charity funds injured veteran events, such as Keys’ recent climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
