The AKTIV8 dual frequency UV lamp and lifetime activated carbon catalyst have the ability to oxidize odors and VOCs and neutralize microorganisms such as mold, bacteria and viruses both in the HVAC equipment and air-stream. The unique UVC/UVV lamp in AKTIV8 combines two types of glass which emit specific UV wavelengths (90% germicidal and 10% oxidizing) in a single UV lamp, delivering both the power of oxidation for odor and VOC control and the benefits of germicidal light for neutralizing mold and germs.
Conventional filters are only effective against particulates, like dust. AKTIV8 safely reduces both biological and chemical contaminants inside the air system and throughout the building. Together, they address 99+% of the contaminants in the air.
